Mr David Burke, M.Ed, B.Ec, Grad.Dip.R.E
Founder of the Australian Enneagram Oral Tradition, David Burke is the leading researcher, teacher and writer of the Enneagram in Australia today. He established the Brisbane Enneagram project in 1994, in Brisbane, to study personality in the Australian context. He is the founding director of the Australian Institute for Enneagram Studies. Dr Margaret Buring, M.B.B.S, M.H.A
Margaret Buring graduated from Sydney University with Honours, and began a career in General Pathology and later General Practice. Margaret completed her Masters in Health Administration in 1994.
Margaret joined the Red Cross Blood Service in 1991 and became the Chief Executive Officer of the South Australian Blood Service in 1996. Margaret became Senior Medical Manager for the Queensland Blood Service in 2001.
Stimulated by a mystical experience in Canada she resigned after 12 years of full time in the Red Cross, she returned to General Practice at the beginning of 2003 to concentrate on her holistic, integrated medical practice.
In 2005 she moved to take care of the house on the Andelaine property in beautiful Natural Bridge. In addition to working at a family practice in Nerang, and providing a Visiting Medical Officer service to the Numimbah Correctional Centre, she has opened up a medical service to the local area.
Margaret has been an accredited Enneagram teacher since 2003.
Ms Katrina Stevens M.Ed., Grad Dip Arts (L'ship)., Dip Fin Planning
Katrina is a Psychotherapist & Human Capital consultant who specialises in individual and organisational behaviour in the context of Organisational Development and Change Management.
She works with individuals and teams and consults to leaders of organisations to assist them to identify patterns of individual and group behaviour and to determine how that behaviour impacts upon others and upon the organisation as a whole. Her work enhances interpersonal communications and interactions, improves organisational efficacy and assists people to meet the challenges inherent in change.
Katrina has extensive experience in education and training. She commenced her career two decades ago as a classroom teacher and progressed to the role of Deputy Principal. To enhance her managerial skills, she undertook studies in finance and practiced as a Financial Planner before combining her skills to work as an Instructional Designer with the Financial Services Industry's most recognised brands.
Currently Katrina lectures in Higher Education on the topic of Management Principles & Practices and her work as a consultant in this field comes as a result of more than a decade of study under the world's leading Enneagram Practitioner, David Burke.
Katrina has been a certified Enneagram Practitioner since 2003. She is internationally accredited with the IEA to teach the Enneagram and has taught with the AIES for the past seven years. She has presented three times at the International Enneagram conference on topics related to the Theology of the Enneagram.
Mr Tony Walters M.Ed, B.A, Grad.Dip (Reading), T. Cert.
Tony is a former secondary school teacher and lecturer in education and curriculum studies. His speciality is English with a Masters degree in Literacy. He has educational experience in three states.
He has also been involved in politics working for a national leader in both Canberra and Queensland. He was Qld State president of his party in the early 90’s. He also co-owned and co-managed a motel and restaurant in Tasmania for five years.
He joined the Australian Enneagram Community in 2002 and became an accredited teacher of the Enneagram in 2007. He is a Board member of the A.I.E.S.
His particular interest is the development of a personal spirituality through an understanding of the enneagram and the practice it recommends for personal and spiritual growth.
Ms Wendy Marshall, Dip. Yoga Teaching, Dip. Massage, Endorsed Teacher Posture and Flexibility, Cert. Biology
Wendy Marshall is a Quality Manager in a Pathology Laboratory in Brisbane and is a NATA assessor for Medical Testing. She is also a Yoga teacher and has been teaching since 1999. Her love affair with the Enneagram began 10 years ago when introduced to it first through friend doing round table discussions and then through a beautiful Zen Master/Enneagram teacher trained in the Enneagram by some Sufi teachers. Wendy then attended one of David Burke's Master class series and soon after joined Australian Enneagram Community for regular exposure to panels and his teaching. She completed her AIES training and is now a registered teacher and a board member of both Australian Enneagram Community and Australian Institute for Enneagram Studies.
Wendy's desire is to understand the Enneagram in its entirety. Her particular interest is in meditation and yoga and their role in helping to overcome the limitations of personality type clearly described by the Enneagram.
