The Australian Institute for Enneagram Studies

The AIES is a not for profit institute providing training and certification programs using the Enneagram.

The Australian Oral Tradition of the Enneagram was established in Brisbane in 1994 by David Burke. The Project, which has introduced tens of thousands of people to Enneagram personality type, has grown to such a size that its continued development required the training of Australian Enneagram teachers out of the experience of the Australian Oral Tradition.

The Oral Tradition of the Enneagram is the oral transmission of insights regarding personality type passed on through live panels. These panels are facilitated by certified teachers in front of a live audience each week.

The AIES is committed to both the training of teachers in the Oral Tradition and assuring the quality of their teaching through annual registration and supervision.

The Institute also provides a comprehensive program of introductory level meditation weekends, and advanced level contemplative five and nine day silent retreats, held at Andelaine, its rural campus in the Gold Coast hinterland.
